　　Paul Potts，一个普通的手机销售员，真的是一个普通的不能再普通的人了。
他个子不高，长得也实在不能算帅，甚至没有进行过任何专业的训练。

　　他坦承自己想当职业歌者，可是最大的问题是信心不足 ，而且容易紧张。在选秀中可以看出他是多么的自卑，连评委都有些看不起他，开始演唱之前， 主持人问：『你要唱什麼？』 他傻傻的回答：『只是唱歌剧而已…..』 结果评审之一Simon很不以为然地说：『喔，那你开始吧！』 前奏流泄而出，三位评审交换了眼神，露出没有任何期待的表情…… 然后，一切就进入了历史。

这就是一个青蛙变成王子的真实故事。

　　但当他在音乐响起的两分钟里，却另在场所有人都为之震撼，甚至连评委都流下了眼泪。

　　看看这个污秽的世界，纵然是再有才华的人，同样有被现实的无奈生活和社会埋没的可能，但是Paul Potts他成功了。

　　Paul Potts唱的是歌剧《Turandot》（杜兰朵公主）里面的咏叹调《Nnessun Dorma》（今夜无人入眠，又译：公主彻夜未眠）。

　　虽然我们承认他的声音的确很纯粹透彻，但我们觉得更感动人的是他的长相，不是说长得丑就感人，有种人的外表就透出一种悲情，让人顿生怜爱，尤其paul potts的眼神， 坚毅 、 执着 ，看着他这样的外表这样的眼神，当他唱出动人的歌声，你想不哭都不行。

　　PS：当Paul Potts在观众和评委们惊叹的掌声中其中离开舞台时，其的背景音乐就是来自Aerosmith的《I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing》。
